Dangerous Goods: Shipper's Responsibilities

Before delivering dangerous goods to LAN CARGO for transportation, the shipper must comply with the following specific responsibilities:

1. Corroborate that air transportation, exportation or importation of the dangerous goods is not prohibited.

2. The goods must be:

   • Identified and classified
   • Packed
   • Marked and Labeled
   • Documented
3. Dangerous goods must be in condition to travel in accordance with IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations.
4. Provide qualified employees that comply with all the handling requirements for dangerous goods.
5. Ascertain that the employee(s) of the shipper or the shipping agent are appropriately trained in the handling of dangerous goods in accordance with IATA regulations.
6. Ensure that dangerous goods have been packed in accordance with IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations Packing Instructions.
