LAN CARGO is an excellent alternative for the transportation of your furniture and other personal items. Your possessions will be transported with the appropriate care and concern.

Service Characteristics

• Transportation of your furniture and personal items from one airport to the other airport.
• Does not include packing of articles that are going to be transported.
• Does not include arrangement of documents necessary for transportation.

Requirements

• Check with the country of destination's Consulate in your area to see if you qualify for any tax exemptions. If so, to obtain the tax exemption you must present to LAN CARGO an  official letter from the Consulate indicating your move.
• Submit a detailed list of all the possessions being transported.
• To reserve your space, present yourself at the LAN CARGO counter at least 3 days prior to the date you wish to transport your furniture.
• Payment must be made at the point of origin, by cash or check.

Some considerations

• Although there are no size restrictions, containers are not accepted for transportation.
• In Peru is in effect a single tariff of 14% of customs value of baggage and household goods that need to enter the country; also, the Migration Incentives Act (Law 28182) is valid until 02/03/2010 in which those Peruvians who decide to return home may intern their baggage and household goods with tariff benefits, for further details visit the website: http://www.aduanet.gob.pe/aduanas/informca/LeyIM.htm
