Live Animals: Animal Caretakers

Animal caretakers can be accepted on board, with LAN CARGO’s previous agreement and fulfillment of the following conditions:

1. Caretakers must be provided by the exporter and must have proven skills and experience in handling the species being transported. In addition, they must possess adequate knowledge of the use of euthanasia products (even though these cannot be used during flight) as well as tranquilizers (which can be used during the flight with the captain’s previous approval).
2. Caretakers must hold all visas required to enter the country of destination and, when necessary, the country/countries of transshipment.

Note: In no event will LAN CARGO be liable for death or injury to an animal caretaker caused or contributed to by the conditions, conduct or acts of animals.
