Live Animals

The transportation of live animals is one of LAN CARGO's specialties, considering its more than fifty years experience successfully transporting a variety of animals ranging from bees to elephants.

Live animals are transported daily on our domestic and international routes, adhering to the highest standards of quality and in full compliance with the regulations set by the IATA and other relevant international organizations. LAN CARGO is committed to ensure that live animals receive a humane, safe and comfortable transportation from origin to destination.

Before acceptance of live animals for carriage, the shipper and consignee must be in compliance with all the documentation and certification involved and in ensuring that the complex requirements of local and international regulatory authorities are fulfilled (including those relating to packaging procedures to ensure the health and well being of the animals transported). See Technical Specifications.

The transportation of live animals is subject to the terms and conditions of the Air Waybill and the limitations of responsibility established by the applicable Convention. See the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions for applicability.
