Dangerous Goods: Documentation

The shipper or shipping agent is responsible for of completing and signing a standard Declaration for Dangerous Goods form. A sample filled-out form is available in IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations Manual (Section 8).

It is important that those signing the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods form understand the commitment undertaken.

The following documents must be filled by the shipper for acceptance and transport of dangerous goods:

  1. Air waybill (AWB).
  2. Shipper's Declaration.

Note: Before accepting a shipment of dangerous goods, LAN CARGO employees must complete a verification checklist.
