Courier
Our Courier service offers priority shipping on our flights, as well as fast and efficient
reception at origin and delivery at destination.
Courier Service Characteristics
- Airport to airport service.
- Internet tracking of your shipment available through our
E-tracking
- Highest priority shipping.
- Express reception at origin and delivery at destination.
- Reception Cutoff time: 120 minutes before flight departure.
- Exceptions to Cut off time:
- Bogota: Does not accept export Courier consignments.
- New York, Miami, Quito, Guayaquil: 180 minutes (3 hours).
- Santiago: 90 minutes to any destination, except Miami, which requires a minimum
of 130 minutes.
- Weight limit: Up to 110 lb. (50 kg.) per piece.
- Volume weight: Up to 220 lb. (100 kg.) per piece.
- Maximum dimension per side: The sum of the 3 dimensions (Length+Width+Height)
should not exceed 100 in. (254 cm.).
- Length: 94 in. (239 cm.).
- Width: 58 in. (147 cm.).
- Height: 62 in. (157 cm.).
Reservations and Air Waybill (AWB)
When making the reservation, please make sure to indicate that it is for Courier service.
Additionally, the “Handling Information” box of the AWB must specify that it is a Courier
consignment. Otherwise, it will be handled under our Standard service for general shipments.
Restrictions:

- Special handling shipments
- Human remains
- Dangerous Goods (DGR) and Valuables

Not accepted as Courier. Exceptions DGR: UN1845 – UN3373 – UN2814 – UN2900. Please contact the
local LAN CARGO office for further information.

- Liquids or fragile shipments

Only accepted outside the courier bag and with an individual AWB (not consolidated). These
shipments must comply with adequate packaging for their type of product.

- Unclassified samples of dangerous goods, packed with Dry Ice (UN1845)

Only accepted outside the courier bag and with an individual AWB (not consolidated). Shipping
will be subject to flight availability and approval by the Dangerous Goods area.

Note: Articles that are prohibited by law, international regulations, or any
national regulation of the State of origin, transit, or destination of the shipment will not be
accepted as Courier.
