Confirmed Space Freight or CEC ("Carga Espacio Confirmado") is an
airport-to-airport service offered by LAN CARGO, which allows the
client to purchase space on a specific flight. The service is guaranteed and the
freight is not subject to disembarkation as long as all the requirements are met. This product was
created to meet clients' needs of priority service guaranteeing that their important shipment will
fly as booked.
With LAN CARGO's CEC product you choose the specific flight you need and
we guarantee that your shipment will fly as booked, or we will reimburse the freight
cost.*

Failure in Service
A service failure occurs when the freight is not transported on the specific
flight reserved and detailed on the Air Waybill. In such cases, LAN CARGO will reimburse
100% of the freight charge, and the reserved shipment will be transported on the next available
flight.
Note: Taxes, customs fees, and other costs other than the service charge will not
be reimbursed. Additions to the free of charge shipment will not be accepted.
REIMBURSEMENT for Service Failure
Reimbursements will only be issued to the party submitting payment and if the
following conditions apply:

The freight was tendered within the established time limit (2 hours before flight
departure)

The shipper had properly prepared the shipment (i.e. packed, marked, labeled,
etc.) and had presented all the required documentation; and

The claim must have been received at the corresponding LAN CARGO office at the point of
origin within 10 business days from the date of the service failure.
REIMBURSEMENT Exceptions
Cases in which no reimbursement or credit will be issued:
- Natural disasters, weather conditions, air traffic control, war, or terrorist
acts.
- Delays due to mechanical failures; any flight cancellation or delay due to force
majeure events.
- Labor strikes, protests, international conditions, quarantines, or any act
issued by the government.
- Problems with fuel suppliers or labor force.
- Freight was not ready for shipping, due to missing documents or inspections
required for transport or because freight size and weight did not comply with those established for
the type of aircraft.
- Inclusion of dangerous goods without prior approval by LAN CARGO and/or without
the required documentation in case of approval.
- Failure on the shipper or consignee's part to comply with one or more of the
rules, terms, or rates established, including but not limited to improper and/or unsafe packaging,
incomplete information on AWB, etc.
- Cancellation by the shipper.
OTHER RULES AND RESTRICTIONS
- LAN CARGO will not accept the following as Confirmed Space Freight:

- Oversized pieces or shipments with weight and measurements that exceed the
limits established for each aircraft.
- Dangerous Goods, with the exception of shipments containing solid carbon dioxide
(dry ice), which are subject to flight restrictions and approval by LAN CARGO's Safety
Department.
- Articles of extraordinary value.
- Human remains.
- All FAA/TSA, ICAO, IATA, and any other related regulations apply.
- All handling conditions contained in the air waybill apply.
- LAN CARGO reserves the right to change, alter, and amend the terms and
conditions of this service, as well as the right to end or revoke this offer at any time, at its
sole discretion and without prior notice.
- The contracting party declares knowledge and acceptance of each and every
condition contained in the present section.
